BUFO VS KAMBO

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN BUFO AND KAMBÓ?

Bufo Vs kambó, Since the beginning of time we find representations of the divinity through certain plants, animals, stones, or elements of nature. In the case of frogs and toads, they date back thousands of years, used both for hunting and for various rites and cures for the body and spirit.  This is the case of the toad Incilius Alvarius or Bufo Alvarius and the frog  Phyllomedusa bicolor known as  Kambo, both amphibians with highly powerful secretions for these purposes.

However, due to their uses, applications and compositions, we can find notable differences between the two. Let’s find out what they are:

1) THE BUFO IS OF AZTEC, OLMEC AND MAYA ORIGIN, THE AMAZONIAN KAMBO

As we have mentioned in previous entries, the Bufo Alvarius or Incilius Alvarius comes from an ancient ancestral wisdom of the southern part of the Sonoran desert, in Mexico. The Kambó, for its part, comes from native Amazonian tribes that range from Brazil to Bolivia, Colombia, Peru and Venezuela.

2) THE BUFO SECRET 5-MEO-DMT AND BUFOTEINE, THE KAMBO MANY PEPTIDES

Both Bufo Alvarius and Kambo are extracted from the secretion of amphibians. However, in Bufo Alvarius it is obtained from the parathyroid glands of a toad that contains 5-MEO-DMT, a highly psychoactive component with visionary properties. The Kambo, on the other hand, comes from the secretion of the Phyllomedusa bicolor of some bioactive peptides, extracted from its skin.

3) BUFO IS PSYCHOACTIVE, KAMBO IS BIOACTIVE

The peculiarity of Bufo Alvarius is that its secretions are the only ones known to contain 5-MEO-DMT among all existing varieties, in addition to being one of the most powerful psychoactive components in the world, it is of great immersive power and is responsible for altered states of consciousness and extreme variations of perception. On the other hand, Kambo, despite acting as a hunting stimulant, does not contain psychoactives but rather bioactive peptides, with physiological effects that sharpen the senses and have purifying effects.

4) THE BUFO IS VIA GLASS PIPE, THE KAMBÓ IS BY SKIN ABSORPTION

The Bufo Alvarius is ingested via smoke in a glass pipe. In the case of the Kambo, a superficial wound is made on the skin using lit rods in which various burns are made that cause blisters, activating its effect through skin absorption of its substances.

5) BUFO IS VISIONARY, KAMBO IS PURIFYING

Due to its psychoactive capacity, the Bufo Alvarius allows the participant to obtain intense effects of expanded perception and access to states of dual consciousness that lead to highly revealing spiritual experiences. Due to its bioactive peptides, the experience of Kambo medicine, they are usually more physiological, of spiritual and emotional purification. Therefore, both effects and uses depend on the purposes for which they are required.
